Cascadia towel — cream, folded and draped on white

Coming to Kickstarter — Raindwell

The towel that's
both soft and absorbent.

Most towels make you choose between soft and fast. The Cascadia does both — 600 GSM Egyptian cotton, built for actual daily use.

The Problem

Most towels make you pick a side.

The home textile market is split between two extremes. Ultra-plush towels look great and feel soft on day one — but they absorb slowly and take ages to dry. "Performance" towels dry fast but feel like a gym rag.

Neither is designed with daily use in mind. You end up rotating between both, or settling for whichever frustrates you less that morning.

🪨

Too Plush

Slow absorption. Heavy when wet. Takes hours to dry. Starts to smell.

🧻

Too Thin

Fast-dry but rough. No weight behind it. Doesn't feel like it's doing anything.

The Solution

Cascadia — designed to live in the middle.

600 GSM hits the balance point: dense enough to feel substantial, open enough to absorb fast and dry without a second thought. Not a compromise — a considered decision.

What Makes It Different

Four things we got right that most don't.

⚖️

600 GSM Weight

GSM is grams per square meter — the density of the weave. Under 400 GSM feels thin. Over 700 GSM dries slowly. 600 GSM is the balance point: absorbs fast, wraps with weight, hangs dry by morning.

💧

Absorbs Immediately

Egyptian cotton is long-staple — the fibers are longer, finer, and more absorbent than standard cotton. It pulls moisture from skin rather than pushing it around. You feel dry, not just patted.

Dual-Texture Construction

One side is looped terry for absorbency. The other is velour-finished for softness against skin. Same towel, two distinct surfaces — use whichever you prefer, depending on the moment.

🪝

Built-in Hanging Hook

A reinforced loop is stitched into the corner — strong enough to hold the full weight of a wet bath towel without stretching. No ring, no clip. Hang it open, it dries properly.

Performance Proof

It absorbs. You can watch it happen.

Water hits and pulls in immediately — no beading, no sitting on the surface. Three colors, same result.

Material

Egyptian cotton. No shortcuts.

600

GSM (grams per square meter)

Four and five-star hotel towels run 500–700 GSM. At 600, Cascadia sits in that range — substantial enough to feel considered, light enough to launder without effort.

100%

Long-staple Egyptian Cotton

Long-staple means each fiber runs the full length of the yarn. Fewer splices, less pilling. The surface stays smooth wash after wash rather than becoming scratchy after a month.

Gets Softer Over Time

Egyptian cotton opens up with washing. Day one is good. Month three is better. It doesn't pill, scratch, or flatten.

Colors

Four colors named after nothing.

No "Driftwood," no "Sage Mist." Each color is what it is — named plainly because the towel is the point, not the branding.

The Hook

Hang it. Done.

A reinforced loop is stitched into the corner of every Cascadia towel. It holds the full weight of a soaked bath towel without distorting the fabric.

Folding a towel over a bar traps moisture in the center — it never fully dries, and over time it smells. Hang it open through the hook. It breathes. It dries.

No clip or ring needed

Why Kickstarter?

We're launching with your help — not after.

Raindwell is a small team. Instead of producing 10,000 towels and hoping for the best, we're using Kickstarter to validate demand before we produce. That keeps prices reasonable, production precise, and quality high.

Early backers get the lowest price we'll ever offer — locked in before launch day.
